Discover Angers and the Cointreau Distillery

Escape for a day to discover the magnificent city of Angers. The opportunity to combine history and art of living thanks to a program rich in discoveries:  

• Visit of the spectacular Angers castle, an impregnable fortress of the kingdom of France and iconic home of the famous King René. The castle is home to the famous Tapestry of the Apocalypse, a masterpiece of medieval art unique in the world.
• Visit of the Saint-Maurice - Notre-Dame cathedral, a Gothic jewel built in the 12th century (if the schedule allows it)
• Lunch at the unmissable restaurant "Les petits prés" directed by Samuel Albert, Top Chef Winner (Season 10) 
• Guided tour of the Cointreau Distillery, the only place in the world where the famous orange liqueur is made, followed by a cocktail workshop. 10% discount in store.

Detailed program:

Meeting at 8:15 am at the Montparnasse train station (meeting point to be confirmed by email to participants)

• Departure from Montparnasse at 8:39 am for arrival in Angers at 10:18 am
• 10:45 to 12:00: Visit of the Angers castle (10 minutes walk from the station)
• 12:15 to 12:45: Visit of the Cathedral St Maurice - Notre Dame (5 minutes walk from the castle of Angers)
• 1:00 pm to 2:25 pm: Lunch at Samuel Albert's restaurant "Les petits prés" 
• 2:30 pm: Departure for the Distillery 
• 3:00 pm: Guided tour (in French) of the Cointreau Distillery 
• 5:00 pm: Departure to the train station
• 5:44 pm: Return train to Paris at 7:36 pm
