Message from the President

Dear members,

Back to school is already here! As the new President, I am delighted to begin this term with you and to see our community come together to share precious moments.

Before diving into this new season, I would like to express my gratitude to the outgoing officials. A big thank you to our outgoing President, Christine Durand, for her dedication to the ACP mission, and to the Vice-President, Catherine Charron, for her commitment to showcasing Canadian talent in Paris. Thank you also to Andrée Bronner, Board Member, for sharing her wise advice and immense knowledge of the ACP with us. Thanks to their efforts, we have been able to organize memorable events and promote our Canadian culture. You are leaving a legacy that we are committed to honour. This year, we are pleased to announce the return of several activities that have made our association successful. Monthly meetings, concerts and our traditional Sunday brunches will once again be on the agenda. We also plan to introduce new initiatives that we hope will arouse great interest among our members.

One of our main goals this year is to make our association even more inclusive. We particularly want to attract students and young professionals, even if their stay in Paris is temporary. It is essential that our community reflects the diversity of our country and offers a space where everyone feels welcome, whatever their background. We will be putting in place activities that will help build this connection.

We firmly believe that inclusion is the key to a dynamic association. By integrating the voices and ideas of Canadians, we can enrich our program and create experiences that resonate with all of our members. We invite you to share your ideas and suggestions to improve our association and make it more accessible.

We are also aware of the challenges faced by Canadians residing temporarily in Paris. Whether it is for studies, an internship or a job, it is essential to create a supportive environment. We will work to build partnerships and organize events that meet their specific needs.

I am confident that this year will be filled with opportunities and memorable moments. Together, we will develop our association into a meeting place and celebration of our Canadian culture. I wish you an excellent start and a year full of energy and creativity.

Sincerely,

Sylvie and the executive committee: Annabelle, Mayssane and Vanessa
