How I landed in ACP I landed at the ACP through my University (of Montreal; graduated in Arts and Sciences History of Art and Visual Arts in 1994). It offered a tour of Montmartre, where I met our charming president Christine Durand. She “enrolled” me in the adventure, much to my delight! |
What I do for a living My job is double; I am an art teacher in college and high school (students from 6th to Terminale) in the 16th and 7th arrondissements of Paris. I am also a visual artist: I paint and sculpt. I also use photography in my artistic practice and I make murals. My website: www.cecilelambertabadir.com and my Instagram: cecilelambertartist |
The trip that made the biggest impression on me ? The trip that I took alone after my separation, to Martinique, in 2021, just after the Covid epidemic: a real revelation of breath and freedom! Charming people and magnificent landscapes. |
My favourite place in France or Canada My favorite place in France is a very small village in Normandy called Lessard-et-le-Chêne because there, with my family, we have an adorable little house renovated by my parents throughout their lives and in which I have dozens of happy memories. In Canada, my favorite place is the Mont-Royal park in Montreal, especially in autumn, with its wonderful walks under the multicolored trees on a beautiful Indian summer day. |
My passions and / or my hidden talent ? My passions are, like my two professions, linked to art. See exhibitions, old films, go to the theater, the cinema, the show, the opera! I am fascinated by the culture and art history of humanity. If I could, I would go out every day! And that’s why I love Paris. |
What I learned in life To enjoy each passing day and not to think that we will be happier later; it is today that we must live and be happy. |
My favourite bar-restaurant in France and Canada ? In France, in Paris: Café du Musée Jacquemart-André; it is sublime, particularly for its murals and its decor! In Canada, La Maison Boulud restaurant at the Ritz Carlton on Sherbrooke in Montreal; a refined and designer setting, very pleasant, very bright. |
My favourite ACP activity? Without hesitation cultural visits : Montmartre, Paris, Angers, soon Chantilly … Thank you for your energy, organization and availability! A truly superb association. I'm proud to be part of it. |
