How I landed in ACP July 1, 2013. Freshly arrived in France, I have the privilege of being invited to Canada Day at the Ambassador's Official Residence. The friend from Quebec who accompanied me happened to have studied with a certain Marilène Garceau. It was love at first sight. Marilène introduced me to Louise Parent (super president at the time), who introduced me to Katia Lapeyre, with whom I had a lot of fun at RESO evenings (our idea for a name, by the way:) I've been a proud member ever since. |
What I do for a living On paper I'm Director of International Communications for Cointreau....but as I write these lines, I'm on sabbatical to develop the possibilities in the wonderful world of journalism, writing and animation (TV and Master of Ceremonies). |
The trip that made the biggest impression on me ? Japan. The balance between tradition and modernity, the distinctive Japanese culture, Mount Fuji, Hokusai, Kusama, and the food, food, food! Anecdote: I was kindly hosted by a member of the association now in Los Angeles; will you be able to find her? |
My favourite place in France or Canada In France: I love Brittany, for the authenticity of its people and the strength of its natureIn Canada: ouch ouch, it's hard to say, Canada is big! I'd say the Magdalen Islands, for the same reasons mentioned above, and especially the Butte du Vent, which offers a breathtaking view of the islands. |
My passions and / or my hidden talent ? Puzzles, as the French say. I can get lost in them for hours! |
What I learned in life " Never burn a bridge " |
My favourite bar-restaurant in France and Canada ? Paris: I love everything about the Big Mama group, from their communication and decor to their menu, of course. Canada: Le Leméac, a vintage but unchanging HQ. |
My favourite ACP activity? Big Interviews, conferences ... anything that allows us to meet people with exceptional backgrounds. |
